Internationally renowned speakers to explore tropic zone issues

Queensland Treasurer Tim Nicholls will open the conference, which has attracted a high quality list of speakers including special guest - the Australian Federal Treasurer, the Hon Joe Hockey MP.

FTEC delegates will hear first-hand from informative and inspirational speakers across a range of disciplines, as they explore the dynamics and opportunities of tropical economies under three broad themes - the environment, human capital, and economics and development.

Mr Phil Ruthven AM, Founder and Chairman of IBISWorld, will lead panel discussions exploring the significant opportunities to export science, knowledge, innovation and technology presented by the rapidly growing tropical economies and burgeoning middle class.
