Innisfail Wetlands Project
In conjunction with Cummings Economics & LandPlan we provided capital cost estimates and scheme engineering services for an Economic Feasibility Study carried out for the Innisfail City Wetlands Steering Committee. The Study presented the following:
- An investigation of what might be achieved with the site and definition of the potential of the site
- An assessment of potential demand for the project including desk research into the current structure and flows of visitors and a survey of the opinions of tour operators in the area about likely demand for the project, including likely visitor numbers, and possible entry prices/expenditure.
- Development of estimates of capital costs, operating costs, and revenue.
- Investigation of likely sources of funds and organisation structure.
Following on from this work, we carried out engineering design services for the Cassowary Coast Regional Council for the development of some of the boardwalks and bridges in the park.
